She's brown and beautiful...even in her old age.
Abby arrived in 1991 from Squire Kennel. Abby ,
like many other breeds, was not socialized during her "fear" period. Due to this she is nervous of strangers making showing
almost impossible. Happily, she bonded instantly to me and the rest is history.
Although pointed, it was tough to
decide to not show her. And the discovery of cancer instantly eliminated her from our breeding program. Our bond was
too strong for me to place her so the decision was made for her to live out the rest of her life with us.
Abby passed away April 6 2004. She was blind and lost control of her functions. She was relying on
Bob to lead her outside to go the bathroom but two weeks before my mother passed away, Abby could no longer control her bladder.
It was one of the hardest thing I have ever done, especially after the loss of my mother. We had a special bond between us.
